R. W. began writing songs, like the cowboys of yesterday, while on horseback. Old-timers wrote songs and poems about their lives as they worked their way through each day riding among the cattle. You can almost see the ghost riders’ images as this cowboy of today follows in their path.
As R.W. pointed out “The newly revived interest in the cowboy through symposiums and poetry gatherings has brought to light the many talents of the cowboy. Many people thought of them as cowhands, nothing more, but these were strong, hardworking men and artists of a very special kind.” The ghost riders smile.
