Howdy friend, fans, and foes. This is a very special album to me. There is probably only once in a singer/songwriter’s life that a project can be conceived, written and produced by a group of dear, old friends. This is not a “Gil Prather sings a few songs album,” but a joint effort of the truly gifted and talented, known, and not-so-well-known persons in our world of music. From the material chosen, through the production process, each and every participant added to the fiavor of the music to give each song its own identity. Thanks to all of you!!
I would like to give a special thanks to Joe and Darla Rhodes and Joe’s Boot Shop in Muleshoe, Texas for making this production possible; Larry Scott for his support of what we do; Robert Waller for inspiring me to write better lines; Clay Lindley and Billie Dentler for being ‘victims’ through the writing process; Ted Barnhill for ‘keeping our spirits up;’ Luke Reed and Kim Blakey for their friendship and writing talents; to all of those too numerous to mention that influenced this production; and most of all, Tom “Wolf’ Morrell for his genius. We hope you enjoy!!
